This last week the children learned about sounds, communication and musical instruments.

When children sing they can learn the sounds and meaning of language. When children dance to music they build and develop their motor skills. Music can also make children feel a range of emotions. Music also plays an important role in different cultures.
The children learned that some musical instruments have strings.

Some instruments that have strings are the guitar, electric bass, violin, viola, cello, double bass, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, and harp.

In Creative Corner the children were going to make a Violin Prop so the children watched a little girl in a video playing a violin.

They were amazed that she could play a violin so well.

One of the children in my class shared the she takes violin lessons.

Creative Corner : Violin Prop

The children helped to create their violin props. They played together and pretended to run the bow over the strings. They could not wait to take them home and show their parents.

Piano Key Game

The children really enjoyed this fun game. For this game each child would flip a card over then find that colored music note on the Piano Key Poster. Then Tap that same colored key with a finger. The children continued taking turns and flipping over more cards.

Other instruments we explored this last week were the drum,
woodwind instruments, horns and piano.

Making Sounds Together

The children love ❤️ playing the instruments together. The louder , the better!! 😀❤️

It was a great week and next week we will be exploring Indoor Sights and Sounds during our Theme Cozy Winter Senses from Experience Early Learning. Experience Early Learning.
