Discussion For Circle Time 

What Types of  Animals Can People Ride On?

Horses, camels, mules, yaks, and water buffalo are still ridden for transport and work purposes.

Bulls and ostriches are only ridden for sport

While once elephants were ridden for transport, work, and war, it is now mostly for tourist entertainment.


Community Challenge 

Singing the song 🎵 

Mary had a little horse,

Little horse, little horse,

Mary had a little horse.


The children gallop around the circle.


During this activity The children are invited to name any animal and then pretend to ride it around the circle. 

This activity builds relationship skills by participating in a group activity.

Horse Stick Art



The children created these adorable 

Horse Sticks.



They decorated their horses, cut the yarn into pieces and glued yarn on for the mane.

They attached the horse to the stick.

They pretended to race with the horses.

Children follow the leader around the room as they pretend to be horses.  🐎 🐎
