Down the Road

Sunday, November 7, 2021

This last week was an exciting week. We started a new theme with Experience Early Learning. It is called Transportation Station. Experience Early Learning.

During Circle Time We Discussed :
1.Roads and how we use them and types of roads there are.
2.How we use traffic signs and lights.
3.How maps help us find our way.
4. How bridges help us cross over water and other
obstacles.
5. How Service Stations help us.

Since this month is also Thanksgiving and we are also learning about the Pilgrims and Native Americans in our classroom we are making some comparisons.

How they traveled.
How the roads may have been during that time.
Traveling with no traffic signs or traffic lights during that time.
How bridges were built during that time.
Maps were used then as they are today.
The men used tools as they do now to build bridges and cabins.

The Children Made a Fix It Toolbox

Tools are for building and fixing things. The children loved making their toolbox.

Making 3D Roads with Vehicles

The children recreated the roads on the map cards. They were also encouraged to create their own roads.

Making Traffic Lights

This is a super cute craft the children could not not wait to take home.
They loved this craft because they see traffic lights all the time! ❤️ Experience Early Learning.

Each week the children love making their Little Letter Book:
Last week our Letter was Dd
Dd is for duck, drum and dog

This coming week we will be learning about On Land
with Experience Early Learning.
It was a great week in Pre-K.

Disclaimer: I am so thankful for the opportunity to use Experience Early Learning formerly Mother Goose Time Curriculum with my students. I can’t wait to share our learning experiences on my blog. In exchange for my unbiased and honest reviews, Experience Early Learning has provided us with the curriculum free of charge.
