This last week we did so many fun Learning Activities with Experience Early Learning Curriculum . Our Theme this month is Weather and Seasons and today I am sharing some of the Activities we did.
I am so thankful for the opportunity to use  Experience Early Learning Curriculum with my students and to share our experiences on my blog.
In exchange for my unbiased and honest reviews Experience Early Learning has provided me with the curriculum free of charge.
I have used Experience Early Learning Curriculum in my Classroom since 2017. This Curriculum has been a True Blessing for me and my students! ❤️

Daylight and Darkness
Early in the week the children learned about Daylight and Darkness. We discussed things we do during the day and things we do at night. The children really love looking at the stars at night time. That was their favorite thing to do at night. I brought out a globe to show how it spins. I invited each child to come up and spin the globe. I explained to them that the Earth completes a full rotation once a day.

Days of Spinning
The children stood up and held hands in a circle. They slowly walked in a circle pretending to spin together. Pretending to spin one day, two days and more.

N is for Night

For Creative Art the children made a Letter N with strips of black paper. Then they added the stars . It was a Beautiful Night Art Creation.

Making Upper Case N
Night starts with letter N

Counting Stars

Table Top Math

The children Identified the Number and Color, then they placed that many links of the matching color on the star.

Word Puzzles
I set out the word puzzle mats for the children to explore. We sounded out the words together to figure out which letter was missing.
The letter choices were n, c and u. The children could also look at the small sample word cards to figure it out. We have been reading these words some throughout this month during Circle Time.

Migration
This last week the children also learned about Migration. They learned how some animals move to different places in the winter months. They move to a warmer place to find food. Some birds fly in a V when they fly together. Other animals such as butterflies, sea turtles, salmon and moose migrate, too.

Butterfly Wand
After learning about Migration  the children made Butterfly Wands.
They drew their own butterfly designs and added a few sequins. They then added the craft stick and ribbon .

They created Beautiful Butterfly Designs.

   Early Learning Literacy Activities

In this book which was included in the curriculum, Bear learned about Patience. The children heard a story about Bear’s patience of waiting until morning time.

The children all received a “ I am Patient” bracelet. ❤️

We have been working on our sight words I , see &
the. Our sight word books went home last Thursday.
We will continue to keep this sight word reader in our Library Center. The children enjoy reading it to each other.

Last week our letter of the week was Uu. We traced the Uppercase and Lowercase Uu. We reviewed the  letter Uu sound. We  said words that start with the letter Uu. We heard
and said poems & sang songs with the letter Uu.
