 What’s the Weather?☀️🌧 🎶

This last week we did so many fun Learning Activities with Experience Early Learning Curriculum . Our Theme this month is Weather and Seasons and today I am sharing some of the Activities we did.
I am so thankful for the opportunity to use  Experience Early Learning Curriculum with my students and to share our experiences on my blog.
In exchange for my unbiased and honest reviews Experience Early Learning has provided me with the curriculum free of charge.
I have used Experience Early Learning Curriculum in my Classroom since 2017. This Curriculum has been a True Blessing for me and my students! ❤️

This week in school we learned about different changes that take place in our surrounding environment . The children learned about the leaves changing colors , cycle of night & day, hibernation and migration. The children were excited to learn a big word like Hibernation and to go home and tell their parents all about it. See more below.

Our Nature Walk
On Tuesday Morning we went on a Nature Walk. It was a nice Fall Morning. The Temperature wasn’t cool but it was comfortable. The children were excited to run around and collect leaves, small sticks and any acorns they could find.

The children had a great time! Now they had enough nature items to make their Creative Art Project.

Learning About Hibernation

Creative Art Time

Making a Bear Den

The children learned that hibernating animals sleep in the winter. They also learned that a hibernating animal’s breathing and heart rate slow down.
Many animals sleep in a protected home, such as a den.

For Creative Art the children made a Bear Den. They used the nature items they had collected outside along with a paper bag to create the den. They used markers to decorate the den and glue for their Bear & nature items.
The Bear Dens looked so cute and creative.

Small Group Math
How Many Are Sleeping?

With this game the children rolled the pocket cube and identified the number. They then placed that many Bear Counters on the bed. We put 2 Bed Cards Together making it enough for 12 Bear Counters Each. Whichever child filled their 2 cards first was the winner. 🧸 🛌 🧸 🛌
We also sang the song “Twelve Teds in a Bed”  🎶

Meteorologist
Weather Wheel

This last week we also learned about the Meteorologist. The children learned they help predict the weather, including possible storms.
They use pictures and charts to show different types of weather.
For Creative Art the children made a Weather Wheel.

They drew weather pictures on their weather wheels.

They drew pictures for Wind, Sun, Rain and Clouds.

The children love pretending to be the Teacher in the Library Center Every Day so I set up the Weather Wheel for Them. They loved ❤️ it! ❄️⛅️☀️🌧

Is it Windy?   Is it Sunny?   Is it Rainy?   Is it Cloudy?
