Orchard Harvest - Tree Life Cycle

Sunday, October 7, 2018

This week in Pre-K we started our theme Orchard Harvest.
For Week One we learned about The Tree Life Cycle.

A tree needs light, water and soil to grow. The children learned about seeds, roots, trunks, branches and leaves.
Below are some of the activities the children did during the school week.

Apple Seed Art
The children explored the inside of an apple and then created their own apple art.

Seed Letters
The children enjoyed making letter shapes with seeds.

Matching Apples
The children enjoyed this flip card matching apple game.

Tree Trunk Surprise
This was so cute! The children discussed what animals live in tree trunks. Birds was their number one answer.

Counting Tree Rings - To see how old the tree is.
