Orchard Harvest/ Animals in the Orchard

This week the children learned about Animals in the Orchard in our Pre-K Class.


Porcupines
Pokey Porcupine Puppet
They learned about Porcupines and how they have sharp quills on their body to protect them from predators. Sometimes they sneak in the Orchard at night to look for food.
















Birds
Bird’s Nest
Birds are the only animal with feathers. Some birds love to eat fruit from the Orchard which can destroy crops.






















Squirrels
Squirrel Maze
Squirrels are animals that can live in nests, in hollowed out 
tree trunks.



















Raccoons 
Raccoon Mask
Raccoons are wild animals that can bite and carry diseases. They sneak into orchards at night and eat the fruit.
