Adventures in Paleontology

Sunday, January 14, 2018

Paleontologists named the dinosaurs and Ariana thought it was really funny to add “saurus” to her name. She said it made her name really, really long. She is glad her name isn’t that long. It would be too long to write every single day.

My Field Journal - Ariana liked writing names of Dinosaurs in her Field Journal. She said Dinosaurs names are very long. She pointed out that each Dinosaur looks different. Ariana said she saw one with a very long neck. Sometimes they look scary.

Dino Imprints- In the photos below Ariana used her Field Journal Dinosaur Pictures to help identify her Dinosaur Imprints

Counting and Sorting Dinosaurs by Color

Land of Dinosaurs

Ariana had so much fun reading the I spy glasses to identify what she saw on the poster.

Look and find an egg.

Look and find the color purple.

Look and find a footprint.

Bone Puzzles

Ariana had so much fun putting together the different bone puzzles. These were so Awesome! She loved this activity! It made her feel like a Real Paleontologist 😊

My Little Journal

On the front of her Journal she drew a Pterodactyl.

She referred to her Field Journal for spelling - Pterodactyl and a picture before drawing in her journal.

She drew a lemon tree with lemons in her journal for the letter L.

She did some tracing throughout her journal and on the back cover. She loves Journal Time.
