Our Daily Routine With MGT

Sunday, September 30, 2018 No comments

All of our Preschool Days are rich with Mother Goose Time
Curriculum. Our Daily Schedule begins with MGT and ends with it at the end of the day.
Our days run really smoothly overall but if a schedule change needs to be made to meet the needs of the children we will do that. Being flexible is very important when teaching young children . Things may not go as planned but it doesn’t matter as long as you have met their needs and you  are flexible.

Disclaimer: I am so thankful for the opportunity to use Experience Early Learning formerly Mother Goose Time Curriculum with my students. I can’t wait to share our learning experiences on my blog. In exchange for my unbiased and honest reviews, Experience Early Learning has provided us with the curriculum free of charge.

Communication

Ways We Communicate

As we started our week learning about communication we discussed Body Language .

Like waving , smiling and using sign language.

The children enjoyed signing some of the letters of the alphabet during our circle time.

We discussed how we can communicate with others and that we don’t always have to use our voices to communicate.

Phones

We discussed another way to communicate is to talk on the phone. The children Loved making and playing with their phones❤️

They colored the back and attached the keypad.

They pretended to use the phone.

The children made their phone books.

This was an Awesome 😊Make and Play Activity!

Mail Time  - Dear Friend

Another way to communicate is through the mail. All the children said they love to get mail. Getting mail is so much fun when you are a kid. It’s also fun to send mail.  In the writing center the children filled out post cards and pretended to mail them to friends & family in the mailbox.

Using Technology for Communication
My Computer

The children named the basic parts of a computer. The screen , keyboard and mouse.

They love their pretend computers 😊

The children enjoyed learning about communication this week and loved doing all the fun activities.

The whole month of Friends and Feelings was Great! We enjoyed learning about Making Friends, Feelings, Caring and Communication.

Next week our new Theme Begins: Orchard Harvest !
