This week was filled with more fun and learning about Space.

Up in Space Story Time

The children enjoyed this Awesome book included in the MGT Curriculum. As I read the book to the children I also showed them the Topic Posters of the Planets as I came to each Planet in the book. They were very focused and enjoyed the book & posters.

Story Telling with story telling pieces for Up in Space

Each month the children love telling the story with the story telling pieces. I love this learning resource. They enjoy it very much!

Trip to Mars Game

The children absolutely loved this game. I am so amazed when I watch them play. They take turns and play so well together. They did not need my help or assistance at any time with the game after I explained it to them.😍

Space Block Center

With the different themes I try to find playsets that match the theme for the Block Center. It can be a challenge and a little expensive from eBay but the children love it! They were so excited to find a Space Center, Space Ships and Astronauts in the Block Center.

Planet Word Builders

The children enjoyed these planet word building games. Another way to use these is to remove the word building squares and leave the laminated name strips. Then let the children use them as planet word tracers.

Library Center- Space Books

With each theme I like to purchase books that relate to that theme. The curriculum recommends certain books to go with some of the activities. I try to purchase those and others as well for the children to use. They enjoy coming to the library center to look at and share books. I also use these books during story time. I purchase these from thrift, online thrift or eBay.

Writing Center Resources from MGT Experience More Literacy.

The children have enjoyed these activities from Experience More Literacy- Blast Off to Space . I receive these from Mother Goose Time as a Blog Ambassador.

Music Time- Hey Diddle Diddle -The children had fun singing this song and they also enjoyed Twinkle Twinkle ✨ Little Star ⭐️

Next month it will change to something ocean theme.

Our Writing Center

Our writing center is fun and encourages writing. The children can trace if they choose. They can choose to write on scrap paper. We have words from the theme in the writing center. Their journals are available as well. I have used some learning resources from Mother Goose Time and laminated them to use in the writing and library center.
