                       Little Rhymes

This was our last week for Nursery Rhymes and we tried to fit as many of the Awesome Activities in as possible. The month flew by so fast.
The children really loved this theme unit and I did too.
We started this last week with Little Bo Peep.

They loved making their Peekaboo Sheep and saying The Little Bo Peep Rhyme.

Sheep in the Meadow Game
With this game the children were encouraged to choose a number card and place it on the game poster. I worked with them as they did early math. They were very excited and had a lot of fun with this game.

Little Miss Muffett

We recited Little Miss Muffett together. We then discussed spiders 🕷. Who thought they were scary and who didn’t.

We made our own Spiders with playdough and pipe cleaners.

The children absolutely loved putting  spider legs in the playdough. In the end they all wanted 8 legs for their spiders because they knew that was the correct amount of legs for a spider.
They couldn’t wait to take them home. 😊

Little Boy Blue

The children had musical instruments to play like Little Boy Blue ! 😍 They enjoyed playing the instruments for everyone !
Then they were ready to make their own horns. They enjoyed painting them and adding the foam dots for keys. They will take them home next week after they dry.

Alphabet Learning Fun
Through the month of February we focused on letters
Aa. Gg and Qq. The children love the I Spy Activity sheets and taking them home to share with their parents.

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
We finished our Nursery Rhyme Unit with this craft.  The children enjoyed decorating it with crayons and sequins.
The children have been singing this Nursery Rhyme all week.

The children played a game called Starry Numbers that involves number recognition.
