Classroom Setup Part 1

Saturday, August 18, 2018 No comments

This post is going to be in different parts. This being the 1st part.  This starts from the beginning. Last Fall we found out that we were moving to a new location for the 2018-2019 School Year.
Our new location is at another church that graciously accepted our Preschool Ministry Nonprofit Program. We have a program for children ages 2-5. I am the Director and Pre-K Teacher.

We packed everything up in May and dropped it off at our New Location and started our summer break. Last week we started working on our rooms because school starts in about 2 weeks. I have had only 2 days so far to work in my new classroom. I have a lot to do.

A lot of my classroom things were in boxes and I have been sorting through them. The classroom that I am going to be using is a very nice large room.  Here are some photos from last Fall. Very cute Sunday School Classroom! 😍

Here are some getting started-Classroom Setup photos below 😊
This coming week I will continue to setup my classroom. I will finish setting up furniture, decorations, circletime wall
and much more to get ready for the children to use Mother Goose Resources.

The Lion and the Mouse

This month I am so excited. We are having fun with Fables and Folktales from Mother Goose Time.
Activities and Thematic Units that Focus on Early Literacy with young children is one of my most favorite things about teaching. I love the twinkle children get in their eyes when the fables, folktales and other stories are expanded upon. It is Awesome.❤️

The children enjoyed the story

Mystery In the Water

As we went through our month as Nature Detectives we did many fun and exciting activities. We finished our month with a trip to the beach.
We explored with Air, Water, Dirt and Sand this month.

WaterTreasure Collage

For the water treasure collage activity Ariana told me she thinks you can find treasure under the water and under the sand at the beach & in caves . She said she hopes she finds treasure when we go  to the beach next week . She drew a shovel on her collage to help her dig up the treasure .

Ice Cube’s Adventure

We talked about why the ice would melt and what happens . Ariana said the ice would melt in the water because the temperature of the water was warmer than the ice . She also said that if the water was outside by the sun the warm sun would make it evaporate and disappear . Ariana made sink and float predictions with the items we had to put in the water . She said the water felt really cold from the ice that had melted . She said the rock would sink because it was soo heavy and that the boat and LEGO would
Float because they were lighter .
