Plants Grow in the Soil

What is Soil? The children answered “Dirt”! What is soil for? “Planting fruits and vegetables.”

Soil is needed to grow things. Plants eat nutrients from soil.

What the Seeds Grow

We plant the seeds in the soil. And they need water and sunshine to grow.  The Farmer’s Market needs Fruits and Vegetables that are grown in a garden.

Sun & Water

Does a plant get thirsty? Yes, just like you it needs water. If a plant doesn’t have water, sun and soil it can’t grow.

Growing Grass

The children planted grass in a small cup and they are going to keep a observation sheet with drawings of their plant. They were very excited about taking these home.

Garden Journal

The children made beautiful garden drawings on their journals.

A lot of them drew themselves and a flower.

Worms

They love the worms! Fake worms! They couldn’t stop playing with them!

The children talked about how worms help plants .

They had an Awesome Time with Creative Art!

Making Worm Paths!
